Notes about HIPAA and health services business enterprises: The U.S. Health and Human Services department issued the Health Information Portability and Accountability act to protect citizens right to privacy in 1996, the advent of the e-service industry. A provision of this policy enbles medical offices to share specific patient information with HIPAA compliant third party entities for administrative support and service.
